R & M Climate Control Service Experts in Knoxville always writes about how our team of experts are NATE-certified, and while it sounds reassuring, what does it actually mean?
NATE stands for North American Technician Excellence and, according to their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization was developed nearly 20 years ago and is supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not everyone in the industry is required to be certified by NATE. The certification is discretionary and technicians can provide heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration services without being certified by NATE.
It’s important to R & M Climate Control Service Experts that our technicians are NATE-certified to be sure we are sending the most qualified and trained technicians into your home. To make sure technicians meet these criteria, the NATE-certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVACR systems for technicians. The tests are knowledge-based assessments that assess the technician’s knowledge of these criteria.
Since R & M Climate Control Service Experts focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification instead of refrigeration, there are only specific areas pertinent to our technicians. NATE assessment candidates may earn installation and/or service certification in one or more of the talent areas listed below:
- Air Conditioning
